Animal behaviour: Snowball fight | The Economist

Ok, there's a bird on Utube who dances.
There is also a parrot.

Scientists believe this is linked to the animal's ability to mimic sound.
They tried to get Tamarin monkeys to dance, but failed.
Tamarins do not mimic sounds, although they are a very vocal animal.

All told, there are 14 types of parrot in these video clips, all species well-known for vocal mimicry, and one elephant. That elephants are vocal mimics is less widely known, but it has recently been established scientifically.

ack jack doesnt dance...but he definatly pays attention when certain music comes on...
he tends to like disney-esque type songs and boybands/female vocalists with mid range voices, soft "girly"/pop type music.
fast tempo music gets him all rilled up his pupils dialiate repibdly and he gets screamy and nippy, but disney type sogs come on and hell stand quietly pupils reacting in a less ectic manor and his head movments in a defiinitive "im listening" kind of way...
