Hello,

I know Erie has two major hospitals - St. Vincents & Hamot. I want to know what the locals viewpoints of each hospital is, their reputation, where you would go for what kind of care, etc.

Thank you

My sister has worked at both; she got a scholarship through St Vincent and worked there for a few years and just started at Hamot. Hamot is the official trauma center for Erie, whereas the two hospitals used to share those duties.

I believe that Hamot is often considered the leader in care and caliber of doctors.
