Then, you should actually move to Duluth, MN if you want a nice college town with lake effect snow, skiing, ice fishing, ice climbing a ton of outdoor sports. Check it out!
University of Minnesota Duluth Welcomes You, The College of St. Scholastica is an independent private college based in Duluth, Minnesota with extended campuses across the state. and Visit Duluth: Duluth's only offical tourism resource for lodging, dining, attractions, events and more!

Duluth's a great town! Well, there is always the thought that you may not want to move to Minnesota. If you are not tied down to the idea of Erie or Colorado then you may be interested.

There are quite a few colleges in Erie. Gannon, Mercyhurst, and Penn State Behrend are the biggest.

Erie is a nice little city, and I think it has a decent college atmosphere. But, depending on what you are going to school for, you might want to check out SUNY Fredonia. (Fredonia, NY) Its a state school, offers some great programs, gets a lot of snow and is a really big college town. I love it there, moving back asap.
