I'm 54, I have no children and am looking for a religion. This is what I'm searching for:

A group of genuinely kind people who believe in family and helping everyone and conserving nature. People that come together frequently in fellowship for fun and goodwill. Something like the Amish.

My problem is that I love Halloween, yes Halloween and "no" I'm not a witch. I don't believe in vampires or ghosts or any of that, I just love to decorate and go all out. Does anyone know of one??? Thanks a whole lot, Mary

Well, I have a suggestion but it might not be your cup of tea. The Latter Day Saints church is very family-oriented, and they do participate in Halloween. They are also into sewing, gardening, canning, etc. You might not go for the theology, though.

have you checked Beliefnet offers features on religion, spirituality, faith, health, prayer, the Bible, holistic lifestyle, and more There is a quiz to find the right religion for you. Also, Amish is not a religion, rather a nationality (Pennsylvania Dutch).

I am not a member. I just know the religion is very family-oriented, also frugal and into self-sufficiency. There are lots of LDS here in Colorado. You can go to the religion forum and ask for information, or do a google search.

Plymouth Brethren, but it's not organized, as in there is no central organization telling you of local churches. I know of a few local churches in the Pittsburgh area.

blessings, Shen
