Hi!

I currently live in Whitehall. I have only lived here for two years, but in that very brief amount of time, I have noticed that the area is getting a bit more rough and have been told by area friends that the schools are getting a bit more violent as well.

Does anyone else have any input on whether this is true?

Because of this, I am thinking of moving in a bit more of a southern/western Lehigh direction. Any input on where would be good? I have a child who will be entering the school system in a few years, so the school district is very important. I would like to find a cute little rental home in a natural setting, just a little cottage type place for me and my child - nothing majorly expensive. So, good school district, natural setting, small little home, affordable ... any ideas for me?

Kind of on the same topic, I will not be able to move until the end of January, 2008, but must give 60 days notice at my current apartment complex. I don't want to give notice if I don't have somewhere for us to live, but I wonder if it is possible to find a place that far in advance (I am eager to start looking).

Thanks for all of the input, whatever it may be!

Yes, unfortunately, Allentown has become a haven for illegals, and along with that comes crime, and they are surely having their fill. Allentown used to be quit a respectable place to live...but unfortunately, this is what illegal immigration does....I would suggest moving into a rural area of Allentown, Bethlehem and Easton....remember, where ever housing is cheaper, there to are undesirable people, so it doesn't always pay to purchase a cheaper place to live....

Just my thoughts

Good luck and be safe....
