Don't send the kids away just yet, but new research shows that an empty nest can help mom and dad's marriage.

It's not that spending more time together makes the difference. Instead, the study by University of California-Berkeley psychologists found that an empty nest benefits the marriage because couples have more fun during the time they spend together.

Less stress=more fun. Love my kids dearly, but they do introduce worries and stresses that only a child can.

My grandmother always said...we love to see you come and we love to see you go.

LMAO!!!
Yeah we pretty much dump the kids on our parents when we go to visit. Since we live a good distance away they don't get the full grandkids experience so we feel they need the catch-up time. I can see the relief on their faces when we leave.

I have a feeling my mom will finally stop acting childish once me and my brother are out of the house. I'll be out for good in february and he'll be out in college next fall. So hopefully then my parents will get along better after that!
