We are taking my 4 month old son for his second round of shots on Friday. We will be getting DTaP vaccinations, although we may skip the "P". My son wasn't very happy for a few days after the first round. I know we should have given him some baby Tylenol BEFORE the shots but we didn't give him baby Tylenol until well after.
Can someone tell me their experiences after their 2nd round of immunizations? I would like to know what to expect even though I know every baby is unique. I just want to see if I will get any sleep this weekend.

Thanks!!
It might come as a surprise to some, but I actually did selectively vaccinate my son and what I mean by selectively, is that I skipped most of vaccines (like MMR, Chicken Pox, Flu and Polio) and just picked selective few like Hib, Pc and DTaP was one of the ones that my son did receive.
Actually, it's very possible that your son might not have any reaction to the second round of vaccines. Make sure to have tylenol on hand and give him Infant probiotics prior and after to build up the immunity.
I'm curious as to why you want to skip the Pertussis part of the vaccine? Diphteria and Tetanus are very rare for infants and the whooping cough that's a lot more common and more dangerous. So if you are already giving him a vaccine, go for the full one.
i always gave my son tylonol right after the shots--not before.
also just be careful with the "mixed" shots. i dont remember the names, but it's where they can either give 3 or 5 (1 is a mix of 3vaccines together--and contains murcury). i chose the 5 seperate . they did 3 one week and 2 the next.
my son just went for his 2yr well visit. only had 1 shot left to do--now he is good until 200--yeay!!
i have been very lucky. even when i did not ive him the tylonol after the vaccines (like today) he did not get a low grade fever.
every baby is different...
for those of you that skipped some vaccines:
do the schools have any complaints about that?--just curious
I california you don't have to have vaccinations if you object to them.
On the reverse side of the card the school gives you to list vaccinations and dates is a place to sign if you object to vaccinations. Public schools have to accept it.

oh, interesting...
NJ wont let kids in school who are not vaccinated. there is also a set to be done in order to get into HS and then again for college...
Just a heads up, our doctor (an autism specialist) told us to NEVER give Tylenol with vaccinations. She explained that Tylenol is processed in the liver, which is where the vaccinations are processed as well. The human body should be able to handle a vaccination without a febrile response, so the Tylenol should be unnecessary.

Not if you say you have a religious objection to them. They won't ask what that objection is. At least, that's how it worked for my college since I refuse to be vaccinated after having very bad reactions to them.
