We have found the more stuff you get rid of the more time you have.
I remember when we had barely anything and got along just fine without it all cluttering up the house.
We are currently going through everything and putting it all in the garage sale.

I wish you the best with your son and as quick recovery as possible.

This. I'd love to be able to buy a house with land, on a lake. That would be a great place for kids to grow up. No horses for us though. Maybe some more pets though of one kind or another. And a boat or two.

Stuff is just stuff. I would pay for their college, so they wouldn't have to start life DEEP in debt.

I grew up that way, including the horses, staying with my grandparents every summer. I still have horses to this day.

The $6000 summer camps for one (we have twins). $12k for 6 weeks is no joke. Instead we do a camp at around $1500ea for 6hrs/day. Next year will be $2500ea. Anyone else do stupid-expensive camps?

They still have a lot of fun at their camp, especially being with friends they already know, but the higher priced camps offer soooooo many more activities. Zip lines, multiple sports with actual grounds for them, etc. You're only a kid once.

Travel experience. Perhaps a solid, well constructed tree house or fort. A nice swingset.

Please be reasonable - I'm looking like things like send them to science camp, or buy them a car (if they are teenagers), or examples of toys / collections that you think they'd benefit from, or tutoring or the like.
If money was no object why would I need to be reasonable?
