I was born in 1960. I remember the first time I took a shower. I was little, not sure how old, but I was scared. My Dad put on a bathing suit and went in with me. It was the first and last time, and I was fine.

Probably a good idea, wouldn't want to accidentally smash your bare genitals in your kid's face while maneuvering around them in the shower.

At what age would it no longer be appropriate for him to bring them into the shower to bathe them, and does that age adjust based on whether or not he is clothed?

I don't think I would ever get in a shower with a kid in the first place. Makes more sense to sit/stand outside the shower and help them bathe if/when needed. But I guess it depends on different things like shower size and style.
