You can check it, you would have to pay a bag fee depending on where you are going and which airline though. It might be less expensive to buy one when you get to wherever you are going or if you are staying in a hotel, use one of their cribs.
when staying with my inlaws we were able to grab one from a second hand store at a good price and have used it for our kids a few times
much longer flight back home so this would be the only time we'd use it as the littlest one would be out of it before any subsequent trips ...... unfortunately it's a small town and grabbing a used one isn't as easy
duffle bag is a really good idea .... i'll keep my eye on the local ads as well to see if there is a good used one I could have my family grab
Yep, depending on what airline you fly, it can even be free. I *only* fly southwest because of their amazing family policies and the fact their flights are the cheapest for me (I usually pay less than 400 for a round trip ticket) from Florida to Nebraska). With southwest, you can have up to 2 baby items fly free - including a pack n play.
Most pack and plays come with a zip up nylon bag that holds it when it's folded up. You can check those, we've done it several times, it's treated like any other bag, golf clubs, ski's, etc...
If you're able to, and it's a common travel destination, like family, I would definitely consider just buying one on the other end and keeping it there. It's worth it for sure.
