My 10 year old son recently had a similar thing - 5 incidents of fever and vomiting in 9 weeks, each one lasting about 36 hours. Like you, we did all the blood, stool and pee tests, but all came back clear. Drove us nuts. The last time was the beginning of April, and we've been clear since then, so fingers crossed that it was just a bad run caused by having lowered immunity after a long bout with the flu. We are pretty sure that one of the bouts was norovirus, which is highly congtagious and can be pretty intense. Both his vomit and diarrhea were neon yellow from the bile. Took about 4 days from start to finish. There is a newish strain, Sydney 2012, that has been around in the US since January.

Good luck. It is hard not to worry because recurring fever and vomiting can be a symptom of some fairly serious illnesses, but it's reassuring news that all the tests are coming back negative. Does she seem well otherwise, apart from the episodes of vomiting and fever? How old is she?

Lots of thoughts going your way. I know what it is like to spend time at the hospital with a little one. I hope the doctors will find what is going on soon!

Has shigella been ruled out?

Stop it you guys! Yes, a 6 mo old with unexplained vomiting is concerning. That's why the child has been hospitalized. At 6 months old, she's probably not been eating gluten to have developed celiac or many other foods to have food allergies. I am 99.99% certain that her doctors have considered shigella, salmonella, C. diff and many other intestinal diseases.

If she has a fever, you have to keep thinking infection/inflammation from somewhere. Sometimes viruses can be hard to diagnose. Does she have an infectious disease doctor/specialist that is also seeing her regularly? Also, a gastroenterologist?

What a rough time for you all. I am so sorry you are struggling with this.

Now she is just kept away from dyhydrated. Doctors think she is infected by virus again and watch her getting recovered in hospital by her own basicallly.

The whole family is here. Dad, mom, grandmother from oversea, all stay with her day and night. We have to stop working and accompany her. I'm pretty exhausted already.

She might have a food allergy or celiac disease. I knew someone whose little girl had similar symptoms and they found out she had celiac, which is sensitivity to wheat products.

What's Google got to do with it? Three of our family members have celiac, two of them diagnosed between 18mth-2 yrs after repeated hospital visits. And actually at 6 months, one would expect that she probably is now starting to be gradually exposed to foods other than breast milk or formula, which would be when you might start to see food allergies developing.

But yes, her doctors will be figuring it all out one way or another.
