My kids took me to one of these "Paint your own picture" places in a hip part of Denver yesterday afternoon, as the younger one had to work today. It was fun, and I have a new picture to hang in our soon-to-be library (DD #1's old bedroom).

DH gave me a book I had already read, so we went out for coffee and then to the bookstore to exchange it. I really enjoy going to bookstores, and since our closest one went out of business, it's a rare treat.

My wife's daughter and stepmother called and threatened to sue for sharing a picture of her daughter in her prom dress. 2 years ago she did something else (just doesnt work with auto-censor turned on).

I actually asked for what I wanted this year. no one was offended and I had a wonderful day! Coffee and creamcheese toast with fresh tomato and fried egg for breakfast. A family dinner on Devon st. and a stop into a Sari shop for some big hoop earings. The kids also had home made cards and chocolate and a cute owl necklace that they picked out but as far as activities for me the day couldn't have gone better. I kept telling everyone that too
