Hmm... I'm not that much of a Julia Roberts fan but my Sean Bean love might overrule that.
I think Julia Roberts is miscast as the step mother. She was supposed to be the "fairest" of them all until SnowWhite came of age. I just don't see her as "beautiful" (?)
Just wondering - do they use the line about the "fairest" in the land? Fairytales (and their origins) are something of an interest of mine. Once was in an interesting discusssion regarding racism, Snow White, etc..
My daughter want's to see this and The Hunger Games. Is the Hunger Games appropriate for an 11yo. She tells me all her friends saw it. She is the only one of her friends who hasn't read the book. I think Mirror Mirror sound more kid friendly.

I read the books and saw the movie.
The movie is a lot more tame than the book. With the book you picture in your head what's going on and its a more graphic image in your head.
The deaths in the movie are no more graphic than any movie we've ever seen before, it's not all that graphic anyways.

And they don't develop very well the katniss/peeta relationship, the most they

do is hold hands and a slight kiss on the cheek as far as I remember, the book was totally different.
I would let her see the Hunger Games. If all her friends have read the book/seen the movie then most likely they all talk about it and she hears about it already.
