We call them "silly pills" when she's being a goof..... I'm really hoping my 3 year old doesn't get subjected to full cavity search at school when her classmates start catching her silliness!

I would think a teacher would be the first person to notice such behavior . . . and address it. If a child is laughing on and on, it would be disruptive to the class and I can't imagine that a teacher wouldn't find out the causes (if any "cause" exists) for the behavior.

I would let the teacher handle her students. I agree w/ other posters - most likely - the child referred to "laughing pills" or "silly pills" - not actual "uppers," lol.

Besides -- is there even such a drug that just makes you laugh and laugh and be silly?

Sometimes, but it doesn't always make you laugh, I've seen parties where everyone isn't laughing but staring into space like zombies. And sometimes paranoia sets in.

Vitamin B-12 can have that effect. It makes you more energetic and cna make you feel better, even giddy. It gives you extra energy. For a kid, that could translate into laughter and silliness. What do kids do when they have excess energy? Run, laugh, giggle and be silly.

I'd worry about the child who didn't run, laugh, giggle and be silly.
