Beautifully said. (As were several along this line!)
All of the "You are beautiful just the way you are" in the world does not matter (or work) when your child looks at you in tears and says, "Mommy, I just want to be like everybody else."
At that point you move Heaven and Earth to insure that your child gets the chance to look like everybody else. To look like his friends. Sometimes fitting in is the most precious gift a child can be given.
