Since my local Borders is closing I paid a final vist this morning. Got Barbra Streisand's book "My Passion for Design" (about a house she built) on deep discount. My cousin worked as a craftsman for her and kept talking about what a perfectionist she is. Wow. Some house. I could move in tomorrow.

Also looked for clothes. And thought of you, maciesmom. The perfect pair of all leather sandles for 22 bucks at Ross. Marked "wide" and they were still too narrow. Boo.

Yeah...I was just thinking this morning that I need to go shoes shopping. You'd think that would be fun...totally discouraging but I desperately need spring/summer shoes I can wear to work....

Thanks for the well wishes y'all. Hard to believe how ugly it was yesterday because it is absolutley gorgeous out right now. In fact I am sitting on the lanai typing this lol (with General Hospital on in the background I am ashamed to say). We really had it easy here compared to others in the Tampa Bay area. I certainly cannot complain.

I wear Keen's year round. So comfy. I have friends who swear by the Vibram Fivefingers, but they are seriously weird-looking to me.

So glad to hear that Kathleen!

LOL at GH - I can remember watching that back in college - when Luke and Laura were a hot item. You'd be amazed at how many football players would be in the lounge watching too (this was back in the olden days before everyone had TVs in their rooms)

Never heard of Vibram Fivefingers, but it sounds like something you would buy in an adult toy store.

I have wide trotters too. The different models have different widths. I find the Venice comfortable for my wide feet. There are others that work for wides too.
