LOL rkb - for me, "easy" changed over time. DD was the easiest baby, toddler etc on the face of the planet. High school was "interesting". She really was still good and "easy" as far as most stuff goes but there were definitely challenges - no trouble just lots of drama. DS as a baby and toddler - I thought I would scream. Non stop motion - I spent more time chasing that one....sigh. I actually, at one point, called him my poster child for birth control ..I cannot tell you how easy he has been as a teen. Honestly. Of course there have been challenges but nothing serious. Never been in trouble, or disrespectful, gets along with us....(knock wood, we do have another year left after all). He does still have to be moving at all times though...and he gets bored pretty quickly.
I have a question for you. I got an invitation to my first ever (I think?) second wedding. Meaning, this is a second wedding for the bride. She has grown kids and lives in a more well-appointed home than we do. I'm really happy for them, happy to be invited, and am looking forward to going. What kind of gift is useful and appropriate for a couple who already has an established adult life?
Hmmm... First thing that pops into mind is a gift card to a nice, romantic restaurant. Do they drink? Maybe a bottle or two of a really great wine? And a bee-yoo-tiful card for the happy couple to remember you by.

Ugh. What to buy people who have everything is a tough one
This is a time to buy a personal couples gift, not something for the house.
Dew gave some great examples that would be appropriate regardless of how close you are to them.
Google "wedding gifts for second marriages" and you'll get all sorts of ideas, like this website suggests gifts for them to do together as a couple:
Today my kitten-hating husband rescued a starving kitten.
Kitten hating husbands have big hearts for kittens when it matters most. I know. I'm married to a kitten hating husband. Give yours a big hug.
Well, I'm off to bed. (I hope I can sleep tonight!)
We're leaving first thing in the morning. I think the forcast is rain, rain and more rain. Big surprise.
Have a great weekend everyone!
