SPIRITED AWAY

Watch it only when you think they are ready. I'd say around 8-10 yrs. old or so.

Any Disney or Pixar movie, really. The Lion King will always be my favorite.
Homeward Bound movies
The Adventures of Milo and Otis
Free Willy
Balto
Anastasia
An American Tale
An American Tale: Fievel Goes West
All Dogs Go To Heaven
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (and the rest of the films, depending on the age/maturity of your child)

I don't remember every movie that I just read, so forgive any repeats. Some of these are a little older.... but they're great!

Finding Nemo, Up, Cars
Homeward Bound series
Rookie of the Year (still one of my favorite movies!)
Pollyanna
Anne of Green Gables (for a little older audience... maybe 10 or 11 and up?)
Heidi
Over the Hedge
Ice Age movies

Pippi Longstocking was a surprise favorite of both our kids. The Neverending Story (Part I) was popular. As for older TV series, they both liked Full House.
