Good morning everyone
Happy Friday
it is a little brisk this morning in NE FL even with the fuzzy robe I had to turn the heat on this morning yikes I just checked and the high for today is only going to hit mid 50's with a little rain thrown in to add to the excitement and yesterday I was in shorts & flip flops

**** Important QOTD announcement*****

As most of you have noticed, this is a busier than normal time of year.
So in order to free up a little time here in NE FL there maybe a Saturday or Sunday when the QOTD takes the day off.

I just wanted to give you all a heads up so you don't log in one weekend morning and not find a QOTD and worry that something happened.
I may just be sleeping in or am working on one of the "bazillion" house projects we have to get done by the end of the year.

Thank you in advance for your understanding and we can now continue with our regularly scheduled program

***************

Today's Question(s):
Yesterday we asked the last time you visited the Dentist, so it got me thinking

When you have to have "work done" at the Dentist which is your choice to make getting the work done easier

Nothing(I can't imagine but there might be a few of these folks)
Load me up with Novocaine
Laughing Gas - the higher you crank it the better
The new Dental Relaxation pills
Knock me out and wake me when it is over

Bonus Question:

The "History Fairy" is coming to visit. She will magically fly you back in time

Where will you go ?
What would you want to try doing ?
What you would bring back ?

Extra Credit Question:

In what part of you house will you find the biggest gallimaufry ?

Just for Fun:

Do you have any aprons in your home ?
Do you wear them ?

Today in History:
1812 - Peter Gaillard of Lancaster, Pennsylvania patents a horse-drawn mower
1920 - 1st Pro football playoff game Buffalo-7, Canton-3 at Polo Grounds
1923 - Cecil B DeMille's 1st version of "Ten Commandments" premieres
1977 - NFL's 5,000th game, Cincinnati beats Kansas City 27-7

Word of the Day:
gallimaufry \gal-uh-MAW-free\ , noun;
1. A hodgepodge; jumble; confused medley.

Today is:
National Cookie Day
Wear Brown Shoes Day
Day of the Artisans
Apron Day

Gas - lots of it! ... and then Novacaine - lots of it! Knock me out. Where's that sledge hammer?

The "History Fairy" is coming to visit. She will magically fly you back in time.

I'd like to go back to March 1974 and NOT have had open capsule knee surgery. I'd then wait for the one year it took to make arthroscopic surgery available and as a result would have avoided many years of osteoathritis in that knee.

In what part of you house will you find the biggest gallimaufry?

My wife's office. (Mine is very well organized )

When you have to have "work done" at the Dentist which is your choice to make getting the work done easier

Load me up with Novocaine

Laughing Gas - the higher you crank it the better. this one too !!
The new Dental Relaxation pills - the new Dentist I am going to today doesn't have gas but offers this so depending on what they are going to do this may be an option
Knock me out and wake me when it is over - lol Insurance doesn't cover this or it would be my #1 option

I am a Dentist weenie and because I get so nervous the Novocaine wears off pretty fast (30 mins) so the gas helps relax me so it lasts longer lol I had a great arrangement with my old Dentist crank it to 80 % give me the Novocaine put on the headphones and don't talk to me till your done

Bonus Question:

The "History Fairy" is coming to visit. She will magically fly you back in time

Where will you go ? 1920's or 1930's
What would you want to try doing ? I would love to go to the the parties
What you would bring back ? I really love the jewelery from that era so I would bring tons of it back with me

Extra Credit Question:

In what part of you house will you find the biggest gallimaufry ?

It is a tie between the 3rd bedroom, the library and the dining room. Since we are moving hubbys office from the 3rd bedroom to the library and the exercise room from the library to the 3rd bedroom both rooms are a mess. The new treadmill still in the box is smack in the middle of the dining room

See why I may need a day off during the weekends

Just for Fun:

Do you have any aprons in your home ?
2 one Christmas apron my sister made me years ago and one from Cafe Du Monde in New Orleans when we visited 5 years ago
But I think I just gave myself an idea for a present for hubby one of those chef aprons

Do you wear them ? no lol we all know I spend as little time in the kitchen as I have to

Laughing Gas - the higher you crank it the better

My choice is to have the dentist work on someone else. However that is not one of the options listed above. So I will go with Novocaine.

Bonus Question:

The "History Fairy" is coming to visit. She will magically fly you back in time

Where will you go ?

Back to my college days

What would you want to try doing ?
Studying a little harder? Drinking a little less? Actually I would do a bunch of things I never thought to do the whole 4 years I was there. Go to the museum on campus. Attend a play. Explore all of the campus.

What you would bring back ?

Just a bunch of memories.

Extra Credit Question:

In what part of you house will you find the biggest gallimaufry ?

Pick a part of my house...Any part. You are bound to stumble across one or more gallimaufries. I think they are competing with each other to be named the "biggest gallimaufry".

Just for Fun:

Do you have any aprons in your home ?

I do not think so.
Do you wear them ?
Can't wear what I don't think I have
