Today's Question(s):

Do you wear glasses?

Sure do - I've worn 'em since I was seven years old, and I am nearly blind without them. Tried contact lenses for a few years and decided they weren't worth the hassle and discomfort. And I'm not interested in having anyone shoot lasers into my eyeballs to correct the focus, thanks.

Extra Credit Question:
For those of us that need not only "far away distance assistance" but the little extra "my arms have gotten to short" help

No line progressive?

I've had no-line progressives for about a decade now, but the funny thing is that if I need to see really tiny details very close-up (e.g. threading a needle), I see best of all without my glasses.

Bonus Question
In honor of "Come and Take it day"

What around your home would you invite folks to "Please, come and take it away"?

The ancient hi-fi cabinet in our living room. We've disemboweled it and given all the electronics to the kids, but haven't found a home for the cabinet itself yet. It's taking up several square feet of valuable landscape in this very small living room, so I want it out.

How many different kind of Lawyers do you know?

I don't know that I'd call it fun to know attorneys - in my experience, talking with them is usually associated with a fairly unpleasant experience. But I do know an attorney who specializes in elder law, and several who work in business and contract law.

Last time you wore a hat?

I wore a hat to keep the sun out of my eyes the last time we attended a matinee performance at American Players' Theatre. That would have been in August.

Garlic : Yay or Nay?

Oh, yay!! Love it, love it, love it - we put it in nearly everything we cook!

There isn't anything, I only moved here a year ago and I haven't had time to want to get rid of anything yet.

Just for Fun:

How many different kind of Lawyers do you know ?

Only the local solicitor who helped me when I was executor of my grandparent's estate.

Last time you wore a hat ?

On the beach up in Queensland I think, I have very fair skin and should wear a hat all the time in the Australian climate but my ears stick out

Garlic : Yay or Nay ?

A big yay! I love garlic.

Lots of junk in my house - much of it still from breaking up my parents house years ago. Through FreeShare, I've been able to find so many good homes for so much of our "stuff", but there's still a lot left. So if you're in the neighborhood - come have some coffee and then have fun sorting through the stuff.

Last time you wore a hat?

Just about every day since the hair went away. It's actually on physician advice so that my newly bald head isn't affected by the sun. Now it's not too bad because at least it's a QFLEA.com hat and I can do a little marketing as long as I have to wear one. The good news is that I can see little bits of thin, fuzzy baby hair starting to grow back in some spots so I'm hoping that maybe by the spring, the hair will be back.

Tonight the Jax forum folks are going to have the pleasure of meeting in person Northwoods Voyager!!! at one of our monthly pizza parties.

OK. Now I'm jealous! Northwoods Voyager is one of the most beloved and respected members of City Data and I envy each of the Jax forum folks. I have no doubt that she is as wonderful in person as she appear to be through the magic of the computer screen and I hope that someday, I have the honor that the folks in the Jacksonville area will have tonight.

I have had the honor of meeting Elizamary a few times - and we and our spouses will be getting together again in December on our next trip down to Delaware.
