Top Advice On Running/Jogging:

1. Stretch for 10 minutes before and after a run/jog.
2. Always do a warm-up before a run/jog and a cool down after.
3. Buy very good running shoes (always buy a half a size bigger, so you'll have more toe room).
4. Before starting any kind of exercise routine, get a thorough medical exam by your doctor.
5. Start with a walk/run routine, when just starting a running/jogging program.
6. Drink plenty of water before and after a run/jog.
7. If running/jogging at night, stay within well lit areas.
8. Do some calisthenics and flexibility workouts at least 3 times a week (to keep your joints flexible for a run/jog).
9. If you have some soreness or an injury, alternate your cardio workout (swim, walk, etc.).
10. Some light weight training helps too (to build up your strength, 2-3 times a week).
