I think this is pretty much the case. It doesn't always turn out poorly when you try to do some good for someone. Just sometimes it does. Life and certainly people are unpredictable. But I think we NOTICE more when it does turn out poorly. We didn't get a good response as we were hoping for. The biblical principle, however, is that we will reap what we sow in the long run and I believe that applies here.
