My preference is barefoot but right now I have the dreaded heelspurs so have to wear something on my feet at all times till they get fixed.

I will happily go barefoot whenever possible. I do take care of my little piggies though. Lots of pampering!!!

Your title "When your feet hit the ground" caught my eye as it reminds me of something a friend sent me recently. She said I am the kind of woman that when my feet hit the ground each morning, the devil says "Damn, she's up!" LOL!!! (I think my DH says the same thing!)

Okay, back to the actual subject at hand.........

Barefoot is better! Only when I go to the kitchen I wear something, just in case a knife falls on my feet!

Most mornings I do wear my house shoes, when I get up (slippers).

But when I go for my workout (5-6 days a week) I normally just put my socks and running/jogging shoes on. And get ready to do my workout for the morning.

But I do go barefoot most of the day (after my workout is over with for the day). I'll wear flip-flops, open toed sandals, or my open toed high heels if I'm leaving the house for the afternoon for something.

Barefoot...as often as possible. Flip flops to get the mail at the end of the gravel drive. Oh, in the winter, I usually sleep with socks then put the pups right into slippers as soon as I'm up.

I don't put on my shoes until I'm just about to head out the door, so when my feet hit the floor in the mornings, once I get out of the bed, I go barefoot. I don't like wearing shoes and socks in the house.

However, I do take pride in my feet. I use a peppermint sloughing lotion, daily, to roll away dead skin and I also use Vaseline on my heels so that they can remain soft. I strongly dislike seeing people with dry, cracked heels. I think that is so gross. It amazes me the number of people, I see out, in the summer time, with sandals on, with dry, cracked heels. Ugh!
