That's funny. My very first post has over 5000 views last I looked still with no replys. That was a long time ago.
But ya know what? A very large percentage of first time posters will write a book asking for advice and never ever return to read it. If they do return to read the answers they dont even respond with a thanks of some kind. That is why many regular CD posters dont even bother answering a first time poster.
Now just 2 or 3 posts are a different story. At that point we figure they are already hooked and will be back !!
Depends on what the first post is. Some are obvious trolls looking to cause trouble, some are uptight about something to the point of having to make noise about it, silly or not. Even established posters are known to do that, n'est pas?
Some are advertisements.
Most are just folks trying to figure out how to join in. First post or 1,000th post, it's all the same if it's in good faith.

Hi all. I am a new member here as of today. I came across this site while researching for vintage California commercials, specifically Chevrolet car commercials. Don't ask.
