Reading the birthing post down below made me think of this one.

1. 1st child-Jeremy- born 10.12! With this pregnancy I was 95 pounds when I first got pregnant and went up to 173!

2. 2nd child-Zack- born 9.6 With this one, I was 117 when I got pregnant and went up to 163- I was on a diet with this one!!!!!!

Needless to say I had a C-Section-they both wouldn't even fit down there! Thank god because I probably would have been stretched out for the rest of my life...ewwww

Unless you had the doctor that delivered my second. She would have sewed you up tighter than a virgin.

#1 was 7 lbs 10 oz
#2 was 8 lbs 4 oz

So when my sis had this 6 lb baby recently I thought she was VERY tiny.

My daughter: 8 lbs.13 ozs. (Now, she's 6'0")
My son: 8 lbs.11 ozs. (This one is now 6'4")

My grandchildren: 10 lbs. 10 1/4 ozs.
10 lbs. 6 1/2 ozs.
9 lbs. 12 ozs.
9 lbs. even (Only girl in the bunch)
8 lbs. 12 ozs.
8 lbs. 7 ozs.

Since they say the average baby is about 7 lbs., I'd say these were ALL keepers!

Well, my first daughter was by family standards pretty "normal" size 8'4"

The next pregnancy, I kept losing weight... not a bad thing as I was very overweight to start... I lost 40 lbs!! and when she was born, she was 9'15"! I had to have an emergency c-section after trying to push for 2 hours!!

no surprises... my husband comes from a family of 5 kids, all were over 9lbs when born, his mother was TINY, about 5"2 and 120 lbs , biggest was husband's brother at 11.5lbs!! EEK! and this was all "natural" V birth....
give me a c-section any day!!

So far I had the biggest

And get this, he is underweight now. In the 40%. While my youngest son is in the 90%-but for height and weight so he looks great. If you ever saw the pictures of my chidlren I put on here, you would have seen that neither of them are fat at all.

My kids 8lb even and the next 9lb. 4 oz., 24 inches long, she didn't fit in the 3 month size clothes I bought her! I have a pic of her sleeping in her crib the day we came home, her pants are mid-calf and her shirt is almost up to her elbows!
My Mom's biggest was my sister, she was 11 lb 14 oz., almost 12 lbs. and 25 inches long. She died at 9 days old. One hospital pic of her, she looks like a 4 month old baby.

After reading the posts, my kids may sound small. Kid #1 - 7 lbs. 13 ounces, Kid #2 - 6 lbs. 12 ounces.

Be careful with large births - it's a sign of diabetes .........

Gestational diabetes is completely different than Type 1 or Type 2. My Mom delivered her very large baby 45 yrs. ago, is now 77 and still does not have diabetes.
