I'm putting this topic here since I don't think it fits in anywhere else ...

Anyways I was at a concert years ago where my glasses broke in a rather unusual way . More specifically I opened the case they were in , to find that they were broken . To this day I'm not exactly sure what happened , though I suspect that some of the people there who happened to be moshing may have bumped into me and broke my glasses .

I'm just curious to know if anyone else has had this sort of experience and I also wouldn't mind a few safety tips concerning taking your glasses to a concert either if anybody has some .

Never had my glasses broken that way. I’ve had the lens come out the never had a problem with the frames.

I think you’re correct in that someone bumped into you, however it would depend on the type of eye glass case you have – soft cloth or hard shell type.

My most recent came from Costco, and they now have a great hard, folding case with magnetic catch. It wouldn't stand up to being run over by a car, but for concert bumping or even sitting on it I would expect the glasses to be safe. When not in use, it folds up flatter than a wallet, about 3/8".
