Hello and welcome to . . .

Today's Varied Question(s):
How ready are you for autumn weather, enthusiasm-wise or otherwise?

Do you prefer an outdoor jacket with buttons or one that zips up?

Do you normally carry bottled water or another drink container with you when you leave your home?

If you have/had a lawn or garden, what watering method would you use, even if it's just rainfall?

Do you want the 2nd Amazon headquarters near your town or
if you live near the current one, how's that going for you?

In your opinion, should corporations get a tax incentive to stay or move?

Foodie Question(s):
It's persimmon season. Persimmons grow in Asia and in the southeastern US.

What do you think of persimmons or would you give them a try?

What do you want on or in your omelet today?

How about on or in your brownies?

Today's Varied Question(s):
How ready are you for autumn weather, enthusiasm-wise or otherwise? I'm more than ready for autumn weather, especially after that record-breaking heat wave we had last week.

Do you prefer an outdoor jacket with buttons or one that zips up? Either.

Do you normally carry bottled water or another drink container with you when you leave your home? No. I don't want to take the chance of spilling while I'm driving.

If you have/had a lawn or garden, what watering method would you use, even if it's just rainfall? I currently use a sprinkler system.

Do you want the 2nd Amazon headquarters near your town or
if you live near the current one, how's that going for you? I wouldn't mind it. Maybe my orders will be filled and arrive faster.

In your opinion, should corporations get a tax incentive to stay or move? I'm leaning towards saying yes.

Foodie Question(s):
It's persimmon season. Persimmons grow in Asia and in the southeastern US.
---> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Persimmon
What do you think of persimmons or would you give them a try? I haven't tried them but I have a couple here at home. I'll try one before they go bad. I understand they're sweet.

What do you want on or in your omelet today? Maybe some chopped sausage and bacon.

How about on or in your brownies? French vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce or hot fudge. Yum!

Just for Fun:
Any subject(s) you'd like to see questions about? I wouldn't mind more food questions. I think we've covered just about everything here.

Enjoy the first Friday Eve of November!

Today's Varied Question(s):
How ready are you for autumn weather, enthusiasm-wise or otherwise?
I am always ready for autumn weather. It is my favorite time of year to travel.

Do you prefer an outdoor jacket with buttons or one that zips up?
Zipppppppppppppper

Do you normally carry bottled water or another drink container with you when you leave your home?
Nope. If I want something along the way I stop and get it.

If you have/had a lawn or garden, what watering method would you use, even if it's just rainfall?
If I had a lawn or garden it would have to learn how to turn on the sprinkler. I might buy it a water hose. Maybe even once show it where to hook up the hose. After that it is on it's own.

Do you want the 2nd Amazon headquarters near your town or
if you live near the current one, how's that going for you?
I live a couple hours away from the current one. So far they have not left a box of cash on my doorstep.

In your opinion, should corporations get a tax incentive to stay or move?
No one paid me to stay or move.

Foodie Question(s):
It's persimmon season. Persimmons grow in Asia and in the southeastern US.

What do you think of persimmons or would you give them a try?
Meh

What do you want on or in your omelet today?
I am pretty sure this question is not directed towards me. It better not be. It could get ugly if it is.

How about on or in your brownies?
Just plain. Make them chewy.

Just for Fun:
Any subject(s) you'd like to see questions about?
Nice try. I am keeping my secret stash of questions well hidden under my back door mat.

Hello and welcome to . . .

Today's Varied Question(s):
How ready are you for autumn weather, enthusiasm-wise or otherwise?
Not too excited.
Do you prefer an outdoor jacket with buttons or one that zips up?
Either ...depends on the type and the weather.
Do you normally carry bottled water or another drink container with you when you leave your home?
Sometimes.
If you have/had a lawn or garden, what watering method would you use, even if it's just rainfall?
I water pot plants as needed and gardens as needed.
Do you want the 2nd Amazon headquarters near your town or
if you live near the current one, how's that going for you?

In your opinion, should corporations get a tax incentive to stay or move?
No, and certainly not long term ones. They should have to guarantee a minimal stay to or pay huge penalties for leaving before they start having to pay taxes.

What do you want on or in your omelet today?
onions and bell peppers, bacon and cheese.
How about on or in your brownies?
pecans

Just for Fun:

Yes! Why so many questions and so few answers?

Hello and welcome to . . .

Today's Varied Question(s):
How ready are you for autumn weather, enthusiasm-wise or otherwise? Autumn has come and is about past here. What leaves are still on the trees are a rusty color, people are wearing winter coats. Well, older people like me anyway. Fifth graders were still wearing shorts yesterday while teachers were bundled up and still cold.

Do you prefer an outdoor jacket with buttons or one that zips up? Prefer zippers, and layers

Do you normally carry bottled water or another drink container with you when you leave your home? Don't

If you have/had a lawn or garden, what watering method would you use, even if it's just rainfall? I have a hose for the garden near the house; the fields wait for rain.

Do you want the 2nd Amazon headquarters near your town or
if you live near the current one, how's that going for you? If they could move into one or some of the vacant buildings, then maybe.

In your opinion, should corporations get a tax incentive to stay or move? There are many loopholes in corporation tax rates already, but why would one not try for a tax incentive.....

Foodie Question(s):

What do you think of persimmons or would you give them a try? Never had one, would try.

What do you want on or in your omelet today? Cheddar, herbs, mushrooms, bell peppers, onions.

How about on or in your brownies? Salted caramel gelato

Just for Fun:
Any subject(s) you'd like to see questions about? Oh, hm. I don't know. Ask the gypsies or third graders.

Today's Varied Question(s):
How ready are you for autumn weather, enthusiasm-wise or otherwise?
Totally ready since the weather doesn't change all that much. It's cooler and we may get some rain. Otherwise, same old same old.

Do you prefer an outdoor jacket with buttons or one that zips up?
Zippers are easier to manage when your hands are stiff with the cold.

Do you normally carry bottled water or another drink container with you when you leave your home?
No, only when I'm going to the gym or on a long car trip.

If you have/had a lawn or garden, what watering method would you use, even if it's just rainfall?
I have never had a lawn or anything but the most pathetic excuse for a garden, but if I did I would collect rainwater in a barrel and/or use drip irrigation.

Do you want the 2nd Amazon headquarters near your town or
if you live near the current one, how's that going for you?
It's not very likely that Amazon would place one of its headquarters in the Bay Area because of our high cost of living, especially real estate prices. But just to play along, I'll say no. It would push housing prices up even further and increase traffic and congestion in a region that already has too much of that.

In your opinion, should corporations get a tax incentive to stay or move?
Tax incentives for businesses have been around for decades, so I guess there must be something good about them. Regions that might not ordinarily be able to attract businesses can offer incentives in the hope that the business will bring jobs, employement and economic growth that will offset the loss in tax revenue. Whether that works out in real life, I have no idea. But it's a long-entrenched practice.

Foodie Question(s):
It's persimmon season. Persimmons grow in Asia and in the southeastern US.
---> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Persimmon
What do you think of persimmons or would you give them a try?
They're OK. Not my favorite fruit.

What do you want on or in your omelet today?
Extra-sharp Cheddar cheese, bacon, tomato, chives.

How about on or in your brownies?
Chocolate chips, cream cheese, peanut butter (not all at the same time).

Just for Fun:
Any subject(s) you'd like to see questions about?
I like psychological questions or any questions that reveal something interesting about the person who is answering them.

Thanks, bjh!

Today's Varied Question(s):
How ready are you for autumn weather, enthusiasm-wise or otherwise?

love this time of year, but actually we're closing in on winter. Or maybe I should say winter is closing in on us.

Do you prefer an outdoor jacket with buttons or one that zips up?

either/or The ones for really cold weather do both.

Do you normally carry bottled water or another drink container with you when you leave your home?

I usually have a bottle of water in the car.

If you have/had a lawn or garden, what watering method would you use, even if it's just rainfall?

Rain seems to work well. I try not to mess with Mother nature.

Do you want the 2nd Amazon headquarters near your town or
if you live near the current one, how's that going for you?

The closest they're considering (or pretending to consider) is Pittsburgh. Since that's about 4 1/2 hrs away, I doubt I'll notice the difference.

In your
opinion, should corporations get a tax incentive to stay or move?

no but in my opinion, politicians don't care about my opinion.

Foodie Question(s):
It's persimmon season. Persimmons grow in Asia and in the southeastern US.
---> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Persimmon
What do you think of persimmons or would you give them a try?

I'd try them-they hopefully will taste better than kumquats.

What do you want on or in your omelet today?

potatoes, onions, cheese, catsup on the side.

How about on or in your brownies?

just plain old brownies. no nuts, no frosting, no cream cheese,

Just for Fun:
Any subject(s) you'd like to see questions about?

holidays-birthday, weddings, graduations....celebrate or no?

do legal holidays mean anything besides a day off? or working short-staffed because everyone else has the day off?

thanks, bjh.

lost the purple and I'm too lazy to type all those words of wisdom again.

Today's Varied Question(s):
How ready are you for autumn weather, enthusiasm-wise or otherwise? Weather doesn't excite me at all.

Do you prefer an outdoor jacket with buttons or one that zips up? Zipper.

Do you normally carry bottled water or another drink container with you when you leave your home? In our vehicles we always have a bottle or 2 of h2o, in the hot desert you don't leave home without it..

If you have/had a lawn or garden, what watering method would you use, even if it's just rainfall? Rain, hose, sprinklers, watering can, depending on what needs watering and where it's located, or if it's in a flower pot.

Do you want the 2nd Amazon headquarters near your town or if you live near the current one, how's that going for you? No way, don't want the congestion/crowds/ heavy traffic.

In your opinion, should corporations get a tax incentive to stay or move? No. If they want my business use their own money to operate their business. Why should I pay for something they make that I'm going to probably buy anyway. Corporations make too much money as it is. Look at the payouts for those CEO's. And many of these company's up and fold going out of business leaving us taxpayers holding the bag.

What do you want on or in your omelet today? Ham and cheese only.

How about on or in your brownies? Walnuts.

Just for Fun:

Do you normally carry bottled water or another drink container with you when you leave your home?
Sometimes water. It's basically all I ever drink.

If you have/had a lawn or garden, what watering method would you use, even if it's just rainfall? - N/A

Do you want the 2nd Amazon headquarters near your town or
if you live near the current one, how's that going for you?
- We have enough traffic here. Too many people as it is.

In your opinion, should corporations get a tax incentive to stay or move? - No.

Foodie Question(s):
It's persimmon season. Persimmons grow in Asia and in the southeastern US.
---> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Persimmon

- Never had, passing.

What do you want on or in your omelet today? - Sharp American cheese, sauteed mushrooms, onion, and garlic.

How about on or in your brownies? - In - It is not legal here, yet.
If not that then plain chocolate.

Just for Fun:
Any subject(s) you'd like to see questions about?
- Whatever. I like this distraction / this corner of the Net.
I do like music questions but I'm mostly stuck in the 60s - 70s era and some 1980s, not what's popular today.

Thanks, bjh.
Hope everyone has a nice Thursday!
