Mornin' all!

TODAY'S QUESTIONS
Not counting speaking in person, what is your preferred method of keeping in touch with friends and/or family (e.g., email, texts, phone calls, Facebook, etc.)?
Well, I was on facebook, but I logged out and forgot my new password! LOL Now I'm out of touch with a lot of people. If it's really that important I'll call them. Texting is a non-immediate alternative. Almost no one I know checks their email with any regularity.

If you need to ask your doctor a question, do you call or do you write the question via an online portal to your doctor's office?
I hate the portal thingy!!! If I have a question I'll call, or make an appointment if it's really troubling. I fear we're going to get to a point where the Dr.'s whole phone system will transition over to the portal. My favorite Dr. now makes appointments only through the portal!

Do you ever watch programs on PBS? If so, do you have a favorite PBS series?
I do. I really enjoy the science shows such as Nova, of course the BritComs, and a few of the political programs (especially now!).

When was the last time you watched a program on TV?
My TV is on currently. Whether or not I'm actually watching it is up for debate. It's mostly on out of habit.

If your TV is on right now, what program is showing?
Chicago news. We turn on ABC first thing in the morning, and if no one changes it, it just stays there, again, more out of habit. There's nothing else on at this time, and it's background noise.

How many light bulbs are in the room you are in right now? How many of them are presently turned on?
Six. None.

BONUS QUESTIONS
Do you like trees?
I do indeed. Big, fat, shady trees are my favorite!

What species of trees are common in your area?
Looking out the window right now I see a bunch of various Maples and Oaks, a Black Ash or two, several small flowering trees which, confused by the recent warm temps, might bloom at any moment...

Have you ever climbed a tree?
Yup! Had a favorite in the yard where I grew up.

Are there any flowers blooming in your yard (planted in the ground or in pots) right now? If so, tell us about them.
Not yet.

When was the last time it rained in your neighborhood?
Within the last week.

Have you ever picked a wildflower?
Yes.

When was the last time you saw an insect, and what was it?
Last week I saw a housefly on the outside of a window screen. In February!

FOOD QUESTIONS!
I have a big pot of homemade chicken soup simmering on the stove right now. The house smells so good!

Have you ever made soup from scratch?
I have indeed! I make a yummy, thick, chunky root vegetable cream soup.

Have you ever purchased a soup kit (bag with all the fixings you need to make soup)?
Yes.

If so, did you add some ingredients of your own choosing?
Always!

Homemade or not, what's your favorite type of soup?
Hmm...can't really pick a favorite. I love cream soups. Maybe cream of potato, with cheesee, and "bacon" bits. Or Amy's French Country Vegetable Soup (not a cream soup).

SOME FUN STUFF!
Change or add a word or two in each of these classic novel titles:

A Tale of Two Cities I want to live in

To Kill A Mockingbird: A Cat's Essential Cookbook

Today's program was brought to you by The Scarlet Letter

The Catcher in the Rye bread

Don Quixote: Turbine Slayer

The Call of the Wild Answer at your own risk

JUST A FEW MORE QUESTIONS
Do you ever wear gloves? If so, when was the last time you wore them?
I prefer "glittens," the fingerless gloves with a cap-like "hood" to cover your fingers.

What is the longest period of time you've gone without wearing socks?
From the time I can break out the sandals until the time I have to wear warm shoes again.

What time do you usually go to bed at night?
Somewhere between 11:00 and midnight usually.

Until next time, then, happy Tuesday to you all. Have a great day and be sure to smile at a stranger. A tiny gesture of kindness can lift someone else's spirits as well as your own.
Right back at cha, Pam. Thanx for the fun Questions!
Have a good day everyone!

Email and Facebook! Never texts...never phone.

If you need to ask your doctor a question, do you call or do you write the question via an online portal to your doctor's office?

I go see her and ask her face to face. My doctor is really nice and pretty, too. We get along very well. Only 3 to 4 blocks away from my home, I never call!

Do you ever watch programs on PBS? If so, do you have a favorite PBS series?

Nope!

When was the last time you watched a program on TV?

I watched some M*A*S*H yesterday while dinner was cooking...but I was also using my awesome Tangerine Fire HD 8 gadget.

If your TV is on right now, what program is showing?

No TV shows for me! My wife watches it. Unless Impractical Jokers is on...or Loretta Swit's boobies.

How many light bulbs are in the room you are in right now? How many of them are presently turned on?

There's an LED 'bulb' in the ceiling fan and I have an LED desk lamp of true awesomeness but I'm not using them right now. How can I tell if they're turned on or not?

Do you like trees?

NO! Is anyone going to say 'no' to that one? We'll see! Yes, I love trees!

What species of trees are common in your area?

Ummm...there are coconut palms and loads of other palms and oaks and banyans and stuff.

Have you ever climbed a tree?

Sure I have!

Are there any flowers blooming in your yard (planted in the ground or in pots) right now? If so, tell us about them.

Yeah. Things dummies call weeds but they are very nice plants...bougainvilleas...and large bromeliads with huge red-orange spike flowers.

When was the last time it rained in your neighborhood?

Good rains this morning.

Have you ever picked a wildflower?

Yes but I don't and won't do that anymore because I like and respect the plants.

When was the last time you saw an insect, and what was it?

A mosquito here in my living room last night. It's gone now.

I have a big pot of homemade chicken soup simmering on the stove right now. The house smells so good!

Oh boy...Laddie Boy!

Have you ever made soup from scratch?

I don't really remember...kind of, yes. Like chicken and dumplings! That's soup, to me.

Have you ever purchased a soup kit (bag with all the fixings you need to make soup)?

Nope.

If so, did you add some ingredients of your own choosing?

I always make my meals with good stuff. I make foods much better now than I used to.

Homemade or not, what's your favorite type of soup?

I don't know. Chicken and dumplings is the best by far, but I like beef soups and chicken soups and vegetables in soups...and noodlies!

Change or add a word or two in each of these classic novel titles:

A Tale of Two Cuties

To Feed A Mockingbird

The Scarlet King Snake

The Catsup on the Rye

Don Coyote

They're Small as a Child (Mexican Folk Heroes)

JUST A FEW MORE QUESTIONS

Do you ever wear gloves? If so, when was the last time you wore them?

Every day...I wear oven mitts/gloves when I am cooking with the gas oven.

What is the longest period of time you've gone without wearing socks?

Hours...when I was much younger. Now I am a sock man! Just got a new shipment yesterday!

What time do you usually go to bed at night?

Usually between 7 and 10:15. I am a very early riser!

Speaking of bedtime, it's almost that time for me. My alarm goes off at 5:50 a.m. (That's torture for me!) Until next time, then, happy Tuesday to you all. Have a great day and be sure to smile at a stranger. A tiny gesture of kindness can lift someone else's spirits as well as your own.

****** POOP! ******

EDIT: Oh, wait! I have coffee every morning and coffee is actually soup....bean soup....so add that to my other stuff, please.
