This particular garden was such a wonder to me, originated and run by my addict brother as a Recovery Garden. The local corrections folks would sentence youthful alcohol and drug offenders to community service in the garden, and in the season I was there, we harvested over a ton of produce, much of which went to local food banks. If I'd stayed there, I would have focused on teaching cooking classes to the clients of the mental health agency, in a community where so very few of the young folk know how to cook it if it doesn't have microwave instructions. Like you, SATX56, I'd love to see one of these on every vacant lot. Thanks for sharing this memory.
Yeah, I've seen the Google cars at least 3 times. I think it's privacy laws that makes Google mask faces in neighborhoods or residential areas as one could reasonably expect a modicum of privacy. Public places you could expect to be caught in photos by tourists as well as the general public.
