Tomorrow is my City-Data Anniversary. I joined on 03-29-2007. Really, I'm having a serious problem porting my phone number from one service to another.

Before this past month, I didn’t even know about all these stages.
I’ve only been going by what the news folks on our local tv stations mention. So, I’m no pro. Far from it. I might be able to answer one or two questions. I used to work downtown DC. They are pretty nice in full bloom, that’s for sure. I wonder how much the temps affect them when it goes back down in the 50’s for a few days and then back up to upper 60’s or higher.
The geese that fly south when it’s cold up north and vice versa. I’ve heard them on occasion. I wonder how confused they get with these perpetual weather changes. At least they can pick up and fly about.
I think I’ve talked myself into finding more info. Wait, that was you.
I'm the opposite. I used to know more, but have forgotten much.
I would, from a professional position, say that dropping down to 50, won't do any harm, and may even extend the flowering period, and getting too high will shorten it. Now, if it gets windy, or windy with freezing temps, that does harm.
I don't even think we were taught about these stages though, but it was a while ago. Maybe it's just a case of giving numbers to things, to make it sound more technical.
I'm glad to have encouraged the gaining of knowledge, one can't know too much, unless one does, that is.
Mate, those Aussie dollars ain't worth the paper they're printed on.
