Happy hump day, kids! I was unable to stay connected to the Internet last night and couldn't post a Tip then. I received a great idea from elnina in a DM this morning, so scroll on down and check out Today's Tip, in el's words.
Clear your tailpipe!
If you are shoveling a running vehicle out of the snow, make sure you clear the tailpipe FIRST. A car can continue to run with a blocked tailpipe filling the vehicle with CO*, which can be fatal in high concentrations.
Multiple CO poisoning incidents occurred last year during heavy snow as loved ones waited in the warm car.
Thanks for the excellent Tip, el.
*carbon monoxide

I should have posted this photo in the OP. It's the view from the front office in my workplace. The window sill you see is 40 inches high, and the snow drift outside, against the window, is about 15 inches or so higher than that. It wasn't deposited there by a plow - that's how deep the drift is in front of our building. That's a LOT of snow!

Great tip, so glad I have a garage thanks Pammers and Elnina
Yeah it's great to have a garage and very difficult to go from having one to not having one. It's tragic what can happen and if it keeps snowing like it is right now I'll def be digging my vehicle out!

Great safety tip for those of you living in those ungodly conditions, I don't know how you do it!
Take care and please stay warm and safe!
