Happy Monday July 8, everybody-and welcome to QOTD.
Today’s Question: Do you own an umbrella ? If so, approximately how often do you use it (in an average year)?
I have a few but hardly ever use them. The one I keep in my car is the one I use the most -
maybe 6 times a year.

There are lots of trees here. Since they have bloomed it looks very pretty. They are in the background with leaves.

I did not go because I didn't want to deal with the crowd. I probably should have made the attempt to view elsewhere. I did hear them as I am only about 15 minutes away from the big display.

I can whistle but I do not do it. It doesn't bother me say if I happen to hear it in a song I like (rarely) but when out in public I can find it annoying.
I haven't heard a whistling tea kettle is a very long time, not since I was a kid. Non tea drinker here.

Today’s Question:
Do you own an umbrella ?
If so, approximately how often do you use it (in an average year)?
There is one in the car, mostly used when needed during the school year & then only in heavy rain. Speaking of rain, we've had so much that I'm unable to mow large areas in the fields. The town is, right now, fixing the culvert at the end of my drive. Extra Credit:

Did you see your local Independence Day fireworks display (if they had them in your area) ? I left the lake around 9 Saturday night, but would have stayed had I known there would be fireworks set off from platforms in the lake. My daughters said it was amazing over the water.
Just for Fun:
Are you able to whistle ? Ha. No, wish I could.
Do you like or dislike the sound of whistling ? Like. My dad used to whistle.
Do you like or dislike the whistle of a tea kettle ? I like it means the water's ready for tea, but don't particularly like the sound.
Today’s Question: Do you own an umbrella ? I have two umbrellas in each vehicle. If so, approximately how often do you use it (in an average year)? Since we have had a lot of rain this year, I have about worn out my umbrellas. One definitely bit the dust.

If its windy when it's raining, they won't do much good plus, you could end up ruining the umbrella.
Don't I know it...
That's just what befell my last umbrella

Okay in real life but did you ever notice how it's overly used in movies to advise the police, spies, hitmen, criminals who just broke into your house to get you that you left the premises very recently or are still hiding in the house? It's like everyone who is in danger decides to make a pot of tea right before the big moment.
Too funny
That's exactly what I was thinking when I wrote this question
(I watch a lot of UK tv, where this happens even more often)

Today’s Question: Do you own an umbrella ? Yes If so, approximately how often do you use it (in an average year)? Not as often as I'd like to. I love a nice rain. I'm sure I'll use it today!
Extra Credit: Not a scientific question, just based on what you see when you look out the window: Are the trees nearest your home mostly deciduous (leaves), This, mostly. coniferous (cones/evergreens), A few of these. an even mix, or another type of tree-maybe no trees ?
Bonus: Did you see your local Independence Day fireworks display (if they had them in your area) ? Not in my town, but went to a friend's annual party. The field where his town has their display butts up against his back yard, so we line his property and have the best view!
Just for Fun: Are you able to whistle ? Yes, but not well. Do you like or dislike the sound of whistling ? Yes, it usually means someone is happy. Or at least they're not complaining. Do you like or dislike the whistle of a tea kettle ? I can tolerate it for a short while. It's kind of nostalgic for me.
