Hello, kids! I hope you all had a good weekend! Scroll on down for Today's Tip.
BEST TIME TO BUY A NEW TV
According to an article in About.com's Frugal Living, while you can find TVs on sale various times throughout the year, the best time to buy is in January and February. One of the reasons the article gives is, "Stores offer deep discounts on TVs in the weeks leading up to the Super Bowl to entice everyone to upgrade before the game." Also, new TV models come out in March, so retailers are anxious to move out the prior year's models before then.
So, if you've been considering purhasing a new set, now's the time to get the best bargain.

Great advice Pam... though I have a 32' CRT T.V. that just won't die after 12 + years of heavy use. We just happen to have 3 or 4 other CRT types still going strong. But, the new LCD's are dirt cheap and should outlast CRT's. Yes, catch the models they're closing out absolutely. Not floor models though. But new in the box. This goes for most any other appliance as well. I at least have an LCD monitor!

A 32' TV? Gee, do you keep it out in your yard?
(Sorry. I couldn't help myself. )

Almost! It's been relegated to the den for the last several years. It's way back in a corner with my potted plants sitting on the floor around it along with other items. I sit at the computer in the open area beyond our dining area through a large archway with my back to it. I use it for background noise. If something grabs my attention I'll turn to watch a minute. I have a 20" next to my monitor for watching DVD's with the gkid. So....you were close .
And ( in my opinion) one of the best places to buy one is Costco ( or maybe other clubs like that). They have great return policy and they add to the regular 1 year factory warranty - an additional year free.
Yep, the ads are full of TV bargains right now. Depending on what you want most electronic stores will have them on sale til at least up to the Super Bowl game day. I have 8 TV's right now, one for every room except for the bathrooms. Don't want to miss anything you know...
After my father in law died- he was a gadget freak- we reluctantly took on his new TV. It's- wait for it- a 52 inch model.
We don't need anything else at the moment!
