I am sorry to have to inform you guys that I always like to know the price friends and neigbors paid for their houses. Being an accountant I just love figures and being able to compare prices etc.

Sorry, is that being "nosy" because I think that I just have an enquiring mind. I have been told that it is rude to ask people the prices they paid for objects but most people are forthcoming with the financial data and then I am satisfied.

Also, during a quiet weekend I will look thru my windows to observe, quite secretly. the doings of my neighbors, but with no malicious thoughts in my brain.
During the Summer I strip off in my backyard in pursuit of a nice tan and I have seen my next door neighbor looking at me from her bedroom windows. I have a nice tall slim body and I don't look on her as being nosy, she is just probably an admirer, and I am pleased to give her a free view. lol

I am much, much more uneasy with a neighbor's tongue-wagging than what they "see". Really, I am.

I like to leave my front window curtains open because I like to see what's going out front (cars pulling in unexpectedly, is my main concern ~ because I don't answer the door if I don't know who's there). So I figure, if a neighbor stops to see what's going on then through my windows then that's my own fault.

But we've had a few gossipy neighbors whose tongues I would have liked to cut off and they were not "voyeurs".

Nosy neighbors have their benefit. They're often the ones to see more in the event of a neighborhood crime or concern.
