Mrs Aks tried this peanut butter trick but said that I still splash around the tub too much.

Spook the cat doesn't like a bath, but he will tolerate a shower pretty well. I hold him by the nap of the neck and he gets hosed down with the sprayer to get him wet, soaped up, rinsed off and then toweled off.
Hr's pretty good about it.
