Morning peevers.

There are days when peeves are the least of one's concerns and today is one of them.

My younger sister who was in her early fifties, and died of cancer, has her funeral today.

Perhaps we could use today's thread to think of those who were taken before their time.

Best wishes to you all.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Jezer. She was taken way too soon.

I am so sorry, Jezer. A tough time for you and your family.
I feel very fortunate that I have lost no siblings: I am the youngest at 63.

I am fortunate that my daughter survived cancer.

Lost my first boyfriend to a drunk driver.
Lost my first husband to a plane accident.
Present husband's wife was my friend; lost after a "successful" operation at age 40.

I read about these in the newspaper everyday, not just the obituaries. Pedestrians being killed in crosswalks, people being killed in car accidents or other accidents.

Last week: a woman on a moped, at 3am, was rear-ended by a hit-and-run driver.

Also this week: A truck went out of control and crashed into 3 people in a driveway of their house.

And it's not the deaths, so much, that is saddening, it's those that may end up disabled the rest of their lives. That would be death to me!

Extending my sincere sympathies as well Jezer. These situations are never easy. You wonder why we have to lose the ones most dear to us so soon.

I am sorry to hear about your loss as well. I don't think it matters how old someone is, if we love them then it is never easy to let them go. Again so sorry about the pain you are going through.
