Morning y’all

Hope everyone's off to a good start of the Memorial Day weekend
& let's take time thank all of the people who are serving or have
served, and remember those who gave the greatest sacrifice of all.
. . . . . Didja Know?
On February 22, 1942, Lt. Commander Robert W. Goehring, who was serving
aboard the Coast Guard Cutter U.S.S. Duane, was swept off his ship by a
mountainous wave during a storm.

The ship was turned around to rescue him and as the ship grazed past Goehring
(who was in a trough well below the water line) the next large wave lifted him up into
the arms of the rescue party

So is he unlucky to get swept away, or extra lucky to get swept back?

What a story!
