Hmmm. I think it is possible you might've missed something in your interpretation of the concept of karma. It is not related to someone taking vengeance on another. It is more about one's own actions and their consequences. The actions don't have to be bad, nor do the consequences.
Have you considered meditation?
You are right, Karma also applies when you do good unto others.
Back when I was new in my career we had a very difficult patient that was rude, obnoxious, and inappropriate while dealing with staff. I was talking with a fellow co-worker about said patient being back with us and I said "I wish he would just die." Five minutes later: Code Blue room 1234. We looked at each other and my co-worker said that's patient X's room. He expired and some superstitious co-workers were teasing me about it for weeks. Karma, good timing, or something else?
I have always been a go getter type person. Karma , nah , if you keep screwing people over , one of them will get you , MOST LIKELY. But certainly no guarantee. If you want to see someone ' get what's coming to them' you have to do it yourself or wait until they screw someone else who takes revenge. I don't believe in revenge because it can backfire. So , tell me , fate / karma of a rotten person or just free will of someone else taking vengance?
Karma: a form of rationalization for those who feel victimized.
