My last 'vacation' was last June, though it was only 3 days, when I came out here for the 4th time (well, to WI anyway) to visit some friends. The highlights were going to Lake Michigan. This was just before moving out here. Had a very pleasant time.

I havent bought an electrical appliance in years but am due for a food processor.

Today’s Question:

Where did you go for your last vacation?
To a beach in Maine
What were some highlights of that vacation?
It was my grand daughter, Anna's first time at the ocean. She had just turned two. She ran down the beach, threw herself into the water and then licked her lips. Not water she was used to! She loved it & I was happy because if I have anything to say about it she'll be spending a lot of summers near the ocean.

Extra Credit Question:

Vera the Vacation fairy is sending you on an all-expenses paid 3-day vacation, but she’s not handing out international air tickets so you have to stay in your own country. Which of the following would you prefer?

Hiking
White water rafting (or a similar adventure trip)
Visiting friends/relatives
A road trip *****
A quiet B&B miles from anywhere ******
A theme park
Other:
A quiet lake

Bonus Question:

When was the last time you bought an electrical appliance for your kitchen?
Oh, hmmmmm. Long time.
What did you buy?
Maybe a toaster.

Just for Fun:

Are you still in touch with any friends from your first year at school? No. About ten years ago I received a letter from a friend I'd gone all through school with. We wrote each other for a bit but then lost touch again.

Off to an early staff meeting I'm helping to facilitate. Happy first day of spring!

Good morning all from a cool, but calm England. Now then, my last vacation was to Las Vegas. Judy and I had two weeks there in October. We had a great time as usual, even managed to win some money at blackjack. Great shows and food. Amusing Americans to talk to, can't have a better holiday. A three day holiday here in England would be in London. I haven't been for a few years now, it's about time for a visit. Have a nice day everyone!

Vacation ..... <*sighs*>

Today’s Question:

Where did you go for your last vacation?

Trying to remember when my last vacation was reminds me that it's been TOO long since I've taken one! Anyhoo -- I visited England/Ireland in 2006.

What were some highlights of that vacation?

I met up with some friends who are medieval-philes, so we toured a lot of church ruins and other historical sites, which were fascinating. I also took a side trip to Dublin, where I visited Trinity College and saw the Book of Kells. Absolutely beautiful.

Extra Credit Question:

Vera the Vacation fairy is sending you on an all-expenses paid 3-day vacation, but she’s not handing out international air tickets so you have to stay in your own country. Which of the following would you prefer?

A fishing expedition

A beach holiday I'd love this, as long as there's plenty of sunscreen!
Sightseeing in a major city
Hiking
White water rafting (or a similar adventure trip)
Visiting friends/relatives
A road trip
A quiet B&B miles from anywhere
A theme park
Other:
If I had the time and money, I'd love to ride Amtrak across the country, in my own sleeping compartment, of course.

Bonus Question:

When was the last time you bought an electrical appliance for your kitchen?

Ummmmmm .....

What did you buy?

Ummmmmm .....

Just for Fun:

Are you still in touch with any friends from your first year at school?

Not sure if you mean kindergarten, high school or college --but it's "no" to all three .....

Today Is:

According to teenagers, EVERY day is teenager's day!
National Agriculture Day
First Day of Spring
National Proposal Day
Snowman Burning Day
Won’t You Be My Neighbour Day

Corn Dog Day

Thanks for the questions -- have a great day, all!
