I just realised that I have not heard back from a company that are fixing something that I gave them. I'll need to chase them up to check that all is okay.
They really should have phoned to keep me informed
That leads me nicely to today's peeve;
When businesses doing work for you don't keep you informed.

Happens more often than not. My experience with my broken washer has restored my faith in good customer service. At this point I was still waiting on parts for repair. You can only imagine my suprise when I got a phone call telling me a new washer was going to be delivered. I didn't even have to complain!!!!

That's a good one Jezer I think many service providers have forgotten the meaning of customer service.
I think most of them expect you to call and ask how it's going. I have to do that unless it's going to cost more than the original estimate. In that case, they usually call me to get an authorization for the additional money. Otherwise, they call when the item is ready for pickup. Or maybe not.

I always ask up front for an estimated time frame. If there is a delay I'm usually informed of it. Sometimes on a long estimated time I may call myself to see how things are progressing.
The one peeve I would have is if I ordered something and it was backordered and I was not informed.
I've given up on expecting everyone to do the RIGHT thing.
It just isn't going to happen.
