It might be Sunday but it's an early start here with Mrs J having just left for lands afar and me getting the house straight after the fun and games of the mini flood.
Mrs J and I have been to a few kitchen showrooms in the last couple of days as we need to plan and have a new kitchen put in.
On two occassions we've seen something in the showroom we both really liked, only to be told that the product is no longer supplied. So why show them?
So if they cannot supply the kitchen you want, why not sell a kitchen to you and Mrs. J., if you can make the configurations work. That's what I would be saying. It's worked in the past for me. That's really bad marketing, and management on their behalf. Good peeve, Jezer.

That is today's peeve:
Shops showing products that they cannot supply.
Would they consider selling you the display? For a greatly reduced price of course!
And just as bad are shops advertising products not in stock. Car dealers are notorious for that.

Stunning dress on a mannequin. Looked in the racks and couldn't find it. Asked what size the one was on the dummy. My size! I said I wanted to buy it. Clerk said, "I can't sell that one." I said, "Why?" Clerk said, "That's the last one." "Well," said I, "what do you plan on doing with it?" Clerk: "Um. I don't know." Me: "Where's your manager?"
Spoke to the boss, got the dress, talked him down to half price. FTW!!
What do they teach these clerks when they put them behind a cash register? I worked in retail and if you don't know the answer, you never, never, ever say, "Um. I don't know." The right answer is, "Wait til I get my manager." I swear the clerks are denser than the mannequins.
