Glad you're doing okay Karla.

Today's Question(s):
Do you have any plans for the long Holiday weekend ?
I have a lot of computer work to do.

Bonus Question:
When was the last time you:
Ran around like a chicken with his head cut off ?
Didn't "look before you leaped" ?
Opened up a can of worms ?
Where in "the thick of it" ?
Promised not to "breathe a word" ?
Had a "ace in the hole" ?
Jumped around like a "cat on a hot tin roof" ?
Said something "had a mind of it's own " ?
My head is spinning.

Extra Credit Question:
In honor of pierced ears day
Do you have pierced ears ? No

Just for Fun:
Lets talk about TV watching
A Dish - It's good, except for storm disruptions.

Do you ever leave the TV on for "background noise" ?
Yes, or mute it and have it on for light and movement.

I was so bored that I actually watched:
I'm not that bored.

Today is:
National Blueberry Popsicle Day
Spalding Baseball Day What will Wilson say about this?

Have a bloody good weekend!

What kind of earrings are you currently wearing ?

How often do you change them ?

Do you have
Cable ?

1.
2.

Where they better than expected or worse ?

Today in History:
1789 - U.S. Treasury Department established by Congress
1901 - Vice President Theodore Roosevelt advises, "Speak softly and carry a big stick"
1930 - 1st non-stop airplane flight from Europe to U.S. (37 hours)
1941 - Academy copyrights Oscar statuette

Word of the Day:
idiom [id-ee-uhm] noun
1. an expression whose meaning is not predictable from the usual meanings of its constituent elements, as kick the bucket or hang one's head, or from the general grammatical rules of a language, as the table round for the round table, and that is not a constituent of a larger expression of like characteristics.
2. a language, dialect, or style of speaking peculiar to a people

Today is:
National Blueberry Popsicle Day
Pierce Your Ears Day
Spalding Baseball Day
Cable TV Day
Bowling Shirt Day

***Have a great weekend see you all Monday ****
Plans: Worldfest in Louisville tomorrow, 3 fantasy football drafts. Cheering my Hokies on against Applachian State (I hope we don't do ourselves like Michigan did.)

Head cut off: When a bee chased me.
Didn't "look before you leaped"; when I bought a busted futon.
Opened up a can of worms ?: I work in a tech support call center; everyday.
Where in "the thick of it" ?: Big storm in Louisville.
Promised not to "breathe a word"? When another worker called in sick, when she was healthy.
Had a "ace in the hole" ? Interviewing for my current job.
Jumped around like a "cat on a hot tin roof" ? Dancing.
Said something "had a mind of it's own " ? Trying to get my Honda up an icy driveway.

My ears aren't pierced.

I have cable and I want DirecTV but can't get it. I leave my TV on every night.

So bored I actually watched:
1. Icarly (tried to fall sleep and it worked)
2. In The Heat of the Night (ended up loving the show)

Today's Question(s):

Do you have any plans for the long Holiday weekend ? On Monday, going to have brunch at my sister's house with the rest of the family, including all the kids and the dogs.

Bonus Question:

When was the last time you:

Ran around like a chicken with his head cut off ? I try not to do this. It's too stressful.
Didn't "look before you leaped" ? Yesterday afternoon talking to the local newspaper subscription rep on the phone. I forgot to ask a question but already hung up, and had to call back and wait on hold all over again.
Opened up a can of worms ? When I accompanied a friend to a local pier a long time ago to go fishing.
Where in "the thick of it" ? About a month ago driving back from downtown Los Angeles at afternoon rush hour.
Promised not to "breathe a word" ? That's a state secret.
Had a "ace in the hole" ? At my last job less than a year ago.
Jumped around like a "cat on a hot tin roof" ? Earlier this summer when we had a mini heat wave, when I walked out to my back patio in the late afternoon without shoes to get something.
Said something "had a mind of it's own " ? I have a wind-up clock in my living room that's supposed to chime every hour and every half-hour. The mechanism is messed up somehow and it chimes whenever it wants to!

Extra Credit Question:

In honor of pierced ears day

Do you have pierced ears ? No, nor do I have any other pierced body parts.

How old were you when they were done ?

How many holes in each ear ?

What kind of earrings are you currently wearing ?

How often do you change them ?

Just for Fun:

Lets talk about TV watching

Do you have
Cable ?
or
A Dish ? <--This

Which would you prefer ? Dish, because it's less expensive than cable and the picture quality is MUCH better.

Do you ever leave the TV on for "background noise" ? All the time, but usually it's on a station that plays non-stop music when I do.

lol I was so bored that I actually watched:
1. A Korean newscast on an Asian channel
2. An interview with Cesar Millan (Dog Whisperer) on a Spanish-language program

Where they better than expected or worse ? The Korean newscast was totally baffling but thought Cesar Millan speaking his native Spanish was pretty cool.
