What ever happens to you at work also affects your homelife/marriage? And, whatever happens in your homelife/marriage also affects you at your job?
You go home after work and find that your spouse/boyfriend/girlfriend has moved out of the apartment or house. You had problems in the relationship, but you "thought" you were working them out. Now, you still have to go back to work the next day or ?
You get divorce papers from your spouse, but you still have a very responsible job to go to the next day.
You find out that your spouse/boyfriend/girlfriend has been cheating on you! How will this affect your job/duties?
You find out that you are pregnant (first one). Excited...oh yes (and so is he), but, will you be able to continue working?
You just got a promotion at work. Higher pay, but longer hours/travel. How will he or she take the "longer hours/travel" part of the promotion?
If any of you can think of any other situations that could affect the homelife and a job, please tell the Forum. Any personal experiences, please share them.
I think this shows a difference between men and women. I heard it said (from a marital councilor) that men approach life like a 'waffle' - everything is seperate and compartmentalized. Men can seperate work and home in their minds. Women, on the other hand, approach life like spaghetti - everything is mixed together.
Personally, I don't see how a problem at home has anything to do with work, but then again...I am a guy...
