Happy hump day, kids! Scroll on down for
a short but sweet Today's Tip.

SAVE THAT SPONGE!

Instead of throwing away a sponge that has a stale odor,
simply toss it in the dishwasher and wash it with the next
load of dishes.

My wife throws away slightly worn scrubbers of all sorts. I save them to do clean up outdoors on many projects. Easy ways to get more life from these products, Thanks Pam!

Duck-tape the sponge to the roof of the car and drive through the carwash doesn't work very well.

Another way to disinfect your sponges is to nuke them in the microwave for 1.5 minutes on high! Kills the bacteria!

That's a good tip ... I'll remember that one if I ever decide to buy a sponge ... I've been reluctant to use those things as I consider them to be germ incubators ....

Great tip.

Also, microwaving it on high for a minute sanitises it.

I would think soaking it in Clorox for a short time would do the trick!
