Today's Question(s):
in honor of Hoagie Day

What do you call Hoagies in your part of the country ?
I googled 'Hoagie' and see that it's similar to what we call a "Continental Roll" which Italian delis make up before lunch time ... nice crusty rolls with various Italian cold cuts, cheese, tomato, lettuce, onion, sometimes pickled eggplant ... yum!

What is you favorite type of this sandwich ? The Italian Continental deli kind. They really pile it on which suits me fine because I don't like sandwiches that are mostly bread.

Last time you had one ?
I shared one with DH (they're very big!) last month when we were out and about doing errands and got hungry.

Extra Credit Question:

What was the last thing you wish you could of rented instead of bought ?
Hmmm, I can't think of anything. Haven't bought anything that expensive lately that you could rent.

Inquiring Minds Question:

Do you have any special plans for Mother's Day ?
I'll be lucky if I get half an hour to put my feet up and rest as we'll be moving next week and we've got so much prep to do and stuff to deal with. We've decided to postpone it til next Sunday, when we'll go out for a nice dinner.

Bonus Question:

If family member or loved one called you and said "Hey I want to fly you to XYZ to see us for the weekend" would you:
Drop everything pack and your bags ? Not this weekend.
Need 1 extra day to get ready ? We'd need several days to be able to spare the time.
Advise them you couldn't go ? If it were this weekend, this is what we'd have to say unfortunately.

Just for Fun:

Are there any padlocks around your home ? No, just a combination lock.

lol do you have the keys to them ? That's why we don't have padlocks. The keys tend to ... disappear.

Today is:
National Crepes Suzette Day I really like this dessert. It's so rare to find a restaurant that makes it. Rather old-fashioned but I don't care. It's a classic, delicious dessert. We had it for our 25th Anniversary.
National Hoagie Day
International No Diet Day
National Beverage Day Make mine coffee in the morning, water all day long and a glass of wine with dinner.
O. Henry Pun Day The chocolate bar?
Join Hands Day Okay, and then what?
Pilates Day Never tried this, looks hard. Would like to try it one day.
Padlock Day

What is you favorite type of this sandwich ? All veggies

Last time you had one ? It's been a long time.

Extra Credit Question:

What was the last thing you wish you could of rented instead of bought ?
Maybe a tv since I don't watch often.

Inquiring Minds Question:

Do you have any special plans for Mother's Day ?
Not with my family. I am ushering for Gospel Choir at Dartmouth.

Bonus Question:

If family member or loved one called you and said "Hey I want to fly you to XYZ to see us for the weekend" would you:
Drop everything pack and your bags ? This, no question.
Need 1 extra day to get ready ?
Advise them you couldn't go ?
Other ?

lol do you have the keys to them ? And this is why I don't. I'd never know where the keys were!

Today's Question(s):
In honor of Hoagie Day
What do you call Hoagies in your part of the country? I think these are submarines.
What is you favorite type of this sandwich? Depends on my mood! Fave may be sliced Italian beef with provolone and green peppers.
Last time you had one? Haven't had my fave for years, but I do stop at Subway sometimes for one of their more healthful choices. I want to be thin like Jared when I grow up.

Extra Credit Question:
What was the last thing you wish you could have rented instead of bought? I can't think of anything. Ask me again later in the year, because I plan to purchase a power washer soon, to use for cleaning the siding on my house.

Inquiring Minds Question:
Do you have any special plans for Mother's Day? Nope. I'm not a mom, and I haven't had a mom for 40 years. Just another day to me.

Bonus Question:
If family member or loved one called you and said "Hey I want to fly you to XYZ to see us for the weekend" would you:
Drop everything pack and your bags?
Need 1 extra day to get ready? Probably this one.
Advise them you couldn't go?
Other?

Just for Fun:
Are there any padlocks around your home? Yes. I have one on my tool shed, and one in a drawer that's not currently being used.
lol do you have the keys to them? I have two keys for the one on the shed. The other has a combination lock.

Today in History:
1833 - John Deere makes 1st steel plow
1835 - James Gordon Bennett published the "New York Herald" for the first time, price 1 cent
1851 - Linus Yale patents Yale-lock
1929 - New York to San Francisco footrace begins Wowzers!
1957 - Last broadcast of "I Love Lucy" on CBS-TV I still watch the reruns.

Word of the Day:
hoagie [hoh-gee] noun, plural -gies.
1. A sandwich on a long roll with sliced meat and toppings
Rainroosty must be in heaven!!!!!!!!!!

Today is:
National Crepes Suzette Day Love these. I've made them a few times. Delicious, beautiful and fun to set them on fire!
National Hoagie Day
International No Diet Day I WISH!
National Beverage Day I'll take water, please. Love water.
O. Henry Pun Day My favorite joke is a pun ~ ~ Two cannibals are eating a clown. One cannibal stops, looks up at the other, and says, "Hey - Does this taste funny to you?" LMAO! I kill me! (Oh, and in case you haven't noticed, I'll never grow up! )
Join Hands Day This is nice.
Pilates Day At first, I thought this was "pilots" misspelled. Pilates is some sort of exercise thing, right? Well, I don't like the name of it. It's a stupid word. They ought to just call it exercise. Or stretching. Something other than pill-AH-tease. Nope. I don't like this word.
Padlock Day Okay.

HAPPY, HAPPY FRIDAY, EVERYBODY!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning all!!!!

in honor of Hoagie Day

What do you call Hoagies in your part of the country ? I don't know what the locals call them but I call them subs....no matter where I am in the country

What is you favorite type of this sandwich ? Italian...yum yum

Last time you had one ? Last year....but they didn't use the right ingredients

What was the last thing you wish you could of rented instead of bought ?
Nothing...I only buy things I really need or can use

Do you have any special plans for Mother's Day ? I have to call my MIL and my stepdaughter. Other than that....nothing is planned. I'm sure hubby and I will be working.

If family member or loved one called you and said "Hey I want to fly you to XYZ to see us for the weekend" would you:

Are they paying? Then yes I would go

Drop everything pack and your bags ? Can't do that now. We have deliveries coming
Need 1 extra day to get ready ? Right now I need more than that. One thing hasn't even shipped.
Advise them you couldn't go ? Yup..I would have to postpone.

Are there any padlocks around your home ? OMG...really, lol. We have multiple padlocks everywhere. That's why I call myself the gate lady

lol do you have the keys to them ? Of course...and some are combo's. If I didn't have the keys they would have to be thrown pout. Who keeps padlocks without the keys.

Have a great!!!!

Today's Question(s):
in honor of Hoagie Day

What do you call Hoagies in your part of the country ?
They're called Subs here

What is you favorite type of this sandwich ?
That would be a Gargantuan from Jimmy Johns

Tons of genoa salami, sliced
smoked ham, capicola, roast beef,
turkey & provolone, jammed into
one of our homemade French buns
then smothered with onions, mayo,
lettuce, tomato, & our homemade
Italian dressing

Last time you had one ?
Tuesday

Extra Credit Question:

What was the last thing you wish you could of rented instead of bought ?
I can't think of anything

Inquiring Minds Question:

Do you have any special plans for Mother's Day ?
Not special, same as every year. My MIL will have everyone for dinner

Bonus Question:

If family member or loved one called you and said "Hey I want to fly you to XYZ to see us for the weekend" would you:
Drop everything pack and your bags ?
Need 1 extra day to get ready ?
Advise them you couldn't go ?
Other ?
It would depend on the weekend. I'm not leaving the track short handed just to visit someone. Otherwise I can be packed for a weekend in 15 mins. No need for bags I can fit most of what I need in my computer bag, unless they live in a remote area, without stores.

Just for Fun:

Are there any padlocks around your home ?
yes, both kinds. Keys are put on a ring and locked to the lock. If I can find the lock I've found the keys.

lol do you have the keys to them ?

Sorry I haven't posted on here in a few days. Got kinda busy around the house. Water is still high from flooding all over the place. Sturgis, Ky., where I used to live, is putting up flood walls on U.S. 60 today because of rising water. Don't think just because a town isn't sitting on a river it can't be flooded. Sturgis is 5 miles from the Ohio river, but all the little creeks and small "rivers" flood just as bad if not worse.

Today's Question(s):

in honor of Hoagie Day

What do you call Hoagies in your part of the country ? Sounds like a sub to me

What is you favorite type of this sandwich ? I go to Subway and get the Sub Club.

Last time you had one ? Been about a month ago.

Extra Credit Question:

What was the last thing you wish you could of rented instead of bought ? Wife #2? lol

Inquiring Minds Question:

Do you have any special plans for Mother's Day ? Going to my parents (50 miles away) to go to church with them, then taking them out for dinner. Told Mama (88 years old) we were coming and she said she would have a nice meal cooked up. This lady would get up out of her coffin and make sure everybody had enough to eat at her own funeral! lol

Bonus Question:

If family member or loved one called you and said "Hey I want to fly you to XYZ to see us for the weekend" would you:
Drop everything pack and your bags ?
Need 1 extra day to get ready ? Since I'm working again probably need a day or two. Might be doing that next summer. Army son-in-law got his orders for 3 years in Hawaii!
Advise them you couldn't go ?
Other ?

Just for Fun:

Are there any padlocks around your home ? Nope

lol do you have the keys to them ?
