[quote=JustJoy;18850336]I hope everyone had a great week and is off to a wonderful start of the Easter weekend.

I’m posting Saturday’s QOTD a bit early since some folks may have plans involving travel, so lets get started with . . .

Today's Questions:

A few days ago Karla asked if we had any special plans for the Easter weekend. Well we all know how things can change at the last minute, though a change of plans isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

So on that note as it’s now Saturday, over the holiday weekend how many of our QOTD family will be:

Coloring Easter eggs?
Attending or hosting luncheon(s) and/or dinner(s)?
Going out to a restaurant?
Going to the movies?
Watching or attending a sporting event?
Taking a bike ride?
Going on a mini-vacation or trip?
Other? We will be home enjoying a spiral ham.

Was this what you originally planned to do?It was either that or go out to eat.

“Just because I want to know”:

This is the _5th____ Easter weekend since my first post on QOTD?

Did you already know or did you have to check?I knew the year I joined C-D.

Fun & Games:

Over holiday get-togethers, are there any longstanding traditions that involve playing certain games? If so, what is the game? No.

Have a wonderful Spring weekend!

Other? Not a thing. Staying home and relaxing. Mrs. Tek just returned from yet another business trip and she's exhausted.

Was this what you originally planned to do? Yes and no. I was going to some work on the Sun Setter Awning, but I had a major muscle pull in my back yesterday (I have no idea what caused it) so here I sit with a heating pad, Bengay and ibuprofen.

1985 – Coca-Cola announced it is changing its secret flavor formula (New Coke debuts)
1988 – Federal ban on smoking during domestic airline flights of 2 hours or less
1995 – President Clinton declares a national day of mourning for Oklahoma City

My Word of the Day is ambulatory. I like the sound. Second place is antidisestablimentarianism. I used to rattle off the spelling in Junior high. Impressed all the smart girls.

Today is:
Coloring Day
Good Eats Day
Smile & the World Smiles with You Day
Sunshine on Your Shoulders Day The sun shines? Where?

I love this post of colored eggs... it reminds me of Easter yester-year when I was a child and painting/dying eggs as we practiced our Easter speeches for the Easter program at church were a traditionally big deal. And one could always count on a new pair of white patten leather shoes, a slip with ruffles, a white pair bobbie socks with a single pale pink or baby-blue bow on each sock and frilly dresses to match. And the day would always end in a huge feast. It's sad really in away the old traditions have not survive. I have not girls to dress or boys who are interested in coloring eggs. Everyone is grown up way too much and I don't even think they have Easter programs at church anymore. Yet, I am thankful tomorrow everyone will be off work and we will attend church together and go out and eat dinner afterward. Happy Easter allyall

I am putting on a brunch for my adult children and grand daughter.

Well I had expected to go to church service in the AM.....but the brunch sorta pre-empts that idea.
