Ah ouch. Sorry to hear that. I had something like that happen w/ popcorn. Bit down on an unpopped kernel. Nowadays, I try and remember not to go too crazy chomping down on food items. I don't want a 3rd incident.
Many years ago, I had put my mom's homemade relish on a hamburger. Next thing I know, I'm bleeding. It wasn't an issue with my teeth but it tore up my tongue pretty good. Seems Mom's relish jar busted up some in the canning process and there was some broken glass in it.
I teased her about for years too
