How you gonna keep them down on the farm now that they have digital cameras.

This is in the New York times and gives the Senate Bill number in the comments section. Godzilla was let loose by the earthquake in Japan, Aliens are killing birds by the thousands and this is proof that they have control of the minds of elected officials. Everyone put your aluminum foil hats on and go to the basement quick.

I guess they didn't get my letter... telling 'em about thinking with their hearts instead of their pocketbooks. Maybe then don't have heart since no one seems to have a brain. I say off with their heads!!! Not literally of course.

“The specific freedom-enhancing element of this particular initiative is that apparently freedom-hating animal rights activists have been known to secretly document farm activities in order to advance socialism.”

Still silly.

Some info on his contributors. I don't see any large donations from farmers, but you never know what his family does or owns. It makes me suspicious of the activities he may know about that he doesn't want to become public.

Lightbulb Good farmers and good farming practices would welcome pictures

If pictures of bad farming practices shuts down and stops food from entering the food process then that’s a good thing in my opinion. I don’t want crap on my kitchen table for my family to eat. Has nothing to do with socialism, has to do with healthy foods produced and moved to market.

What or how does “socialism” have to do with this? If we live in a society that consumes eat foods produced by farmers then I want to insure that the foods put on the table are the best possible and don’t contain harmful elements that were introduced at the farm or in the production line to processing the food for our families.

We need to video or picture documents as evidence that some farmers are using poor agricultural practices which can be harmful to animals and indirectly to humans who will be eating foods and livestock that have been produced in undesirable conditions.

I remember the stories in the past several years of poor farming practices that caused human deaths or illnesses due to E coli and other harmful bacteria causing food poisoning. Salmonella and botulism are yet another two forms of food poisoning that are often forgotten about until you’re ill or dead from eating farm
produced table foods.

Raising cattle, pork, chickens in a clean healthy environment for the livestock helps to keep the food chain free from harm at the beginning of the process of putting something on our tables to eat.

Farmers with good farming practices would not be offended by someone taking pictures of what they do. They are not criminals and they are acting in our best interests.

Abuse of chemicals, fertilizers, livestock feed, growth hormones and more introduced in the beginning of the food chain should be and need to be monitored. If not by the government agencies or other private individuals then who do you trust to do it?

Bring on the videos and pictures that show “bad farming practices” of those who are criminally causing health issues in our food chain.

And what about bad corporate farming issues? why would they object about a picture or two???? Nobody wants their picture taken if they're doing something wrong!!!! Just ask the criminals about that, they'll tell you. "NO Pictures please! I'm committing a crime here,,, now go away".

Lightbulb government welfare money to farmers is socialism!

Socialism is when government provides aid to farmers, Agricultural Welfare and Corporate Welfare. Government welfare to the tobacco farming industry to grow the product, to the dairy industry went milk subsidies, to the agricultural farmers planting crops and those not planting to help the market and subsidize farming, corporate farm welfare that’s socialism but none of the corporate farmers and farmers avoided taking the money from any of the government social subsidies programs. The public and private individuals have the right to take pictures of what their tax money is subsidizing.

I do not have a problem with helping family farming! I do have a problem with corporate welfare!

Yes, yes, yes! Everything you posted both times.

The farms are producing what we; all of us; eat! Do we not have a right to know where and how that process happens?

They don't have the family farmers in mind, only the giant corporations.
