The current year is two-thousand-and-eleven but I was born in the year nineteen-ninety. I have no qualms about being a weirdo!

I tend to say two-thousand eleven and sign two-zero-eleven because it rolls off my tongue and fingers easier that way. Twenty-eleven both spoken and signed feel kind of awkward to articulate. Signing twenty-eleven is a pain in the neck because you have to tap the thumb and index against each other a few times and then in quick succession, flick the index against the thumb a few times. Kind of hard to "say" lol.

What? You mean it's not 1978? Where did the years go ...

Doesn't 2011 (no matter how you say it) seem like a date out of a science fiction novel? Does to me, anyway ...
