Today's Question(s):

If you were to get in your car and drive 5 hours, which major city would you reach:
North ?
Around San Jose, CA

South?
Mexicali, MX

East ?
Close to Phoenix, AZ

West ?
Out on the Pacific. Wish they would hurry up and get the tunnel done to HI.

Bonus Question:

Extra Credit Question:

Do you ever sing or hum along with:
Hold music ?
Elevator music ?
Music playing in a store ?
Ever been "busted"/caught dong this ?
No to all of the above.

Just for Fun:

Will you be wanting to turn the "Rain Faucet" on or off today ?
I want it on, but not today because the house is getting painted.

lol Right now it is a running battle between me and The Super Chief on what color to paint the house.

Default Comedy Day? Too h-o-t to be too funny

Driving 5 hours, in any of the directions, North, South, East and West, I could be in any of three great major cities, and a few hundred miles on the floor of the Atlantic Ocean.

Located not quite center of NC, two hours east would put me on the coast, while five hours west would be in the mountains of either NC, or Tennessee. Five hours north would get me almost to my favorite major city, our nation's Capitol, and five hours south might take me to Savannah or just north of Atlanta. I prefer Savannah to Atlanta, however, and in this incredible heat, the only place halfway attractive is the mountains.

Normally, I am awake around 5:00 a.m., but I seldom choose to hop out of bed at that hour; opting instead, to roll over and sleep-in until maybe between 7:00 and 8:00 a.m.

The "Rain Faucet" I'd prefer to turn on, wide-open, today. The plants and grass could certainly use it, as could the local water table, and it seems to be the only thing that cools us down a tad.

Right now it is a running battle between me and any and all attempts to stay cool with the downstairs a/c unit o-u-t.

The downstairs temperature rose to 85 at the hottest part of the day yesterday, and upstairs, was a cooler 80-81 with the upstairs unit set at about 77. I am afraid to crank-it-down too much for fear we'll overwork it, and then burn it out or something. The earliest the a/c fellow said he could get here, unless something changes, is likely next Thursday. Fortunately, the evening temps have been in the lower 70s so the house was as cool last night, to sleep, as what we are used to normally.

MR Rdslots and I have been doing nothing to add any heat to the house -- NO cooking (we got to-go orders yesterday, enough to 2-3 meals), and today, he carried his tea pitcher to the back patio to brew sun tea, as opposed to turning on the gas stove top to bring water to a boil.

My little dog missed me so much yesterday until he actually climbed the stairs and joined me in the sitting area of the master bedroom. He doesn't come upstairs as a rule, so it was a surprise to see him come bounding over to me where I sat with a book, trying to stay cool-er.

So far, we're all managing. It is just during the hottest part of the day that the house, upstairs and down, gets a bit uncomfortable.

Purple Ketchup Day
What the _?_ is this? Can someone clue-me-in?
